I can't sleep.

I don't like it.

Memo to my brain: slow the hell down for five minutes so I can get some freakin’ shut eye.

I mean, I know I'm blessed with many natural graces, but a girl still needs her beauty sleep.

Instead of a memo, I would have to reference Jerry Maguire and suggest the term, "Mission Statement." You are suggesting a future course of action, in this case, sleep. Yeah, mission statement.
