People on the net keep finding this entry and requesting something of me:

"Hello can you send me the lyric to yoam wara yoam , i think its a good song and want to sing along with it =)"

"I love the song Yoam Wara Yoam... Do you have the lyrics of the song??"

"May I also have the lyrics? An English translation would be lovely . . . I've fallen in love with the song. =)"

"i'm also inlove wit the song yoam wara yoam and i'd love to have the lyrics in an english version.=)"

"I LOVE LOVE LOVE the song Yoam Wara Yoam song by Samira Said and Cheb Mami. PEASE PLEASE, if at all possible send me the lyrics in english and arabic."

And it goes on. Finally, I search for "Yoam Wara Yoam" on Google, mainly to see if I can find the lyrics once and for all so people will stop harassing me (although why they think that I, a white suburban University of Georgia student has these lyrics is, at this point, beyond me) and I find out that my page is the third search result.

My, that explains a lot.

So, although it irritates me that none of these people seemed to have gone looking for the information themselves, I set off on a search. I go through pages that google cached that aren't even online anymore, pages that have moved, pages in languages I can't understand.

And I found them.

Some of you are saying "Dammit, Jenna, I knew you would." but golly, I am still so amazed.

So, here they are, direct to you from MuzikArabia.com (which, by the way, worth a visit, both to collect good music and to laugh at the garish design), the lyrics you have all been waiting for, in both English and a sort of phonetic Arabic. Enjoy: Read More »

I'm So Worldly

Ha!

But yeah, I'm expanding my horizons... downloading songs in Arabic, and working on my pronunciation (“Yoam Wara Yoam” means “Day After Day”), and learning to write my name in Arabic!

Check it out! Click Here. (Note that Arabic is written right to left.) My name looks so super cool, and Jenna means “Heaven” in that language. Finally! Something.

My roommate Diana/Dayana rocks. You should all send her presents. She is responsible for all of this. Yey!

Back to whatever boring American activity you were engaged in. MUHAHA.
